Soreen.

Who they are: Soreen is a world-famous malt loaf from Manchester that has stolen the hearts of many.

What we did: Scribble was commissioned to research and write two books for the bright yellow brand. The first was a fun cookery book that had easy to do recipes using the malt loaf.

The tone of the copy fitted well with the down-to-earth fab family branding of Soreen and the bright, simple and cooking-friendly design. We created the characters Bernard and Babs, the Soreen bakers who narrated the cookery book.

The second book was ‘Soreen 75 years in the baking’. A limited-edition coffee table book that told the story of how the iconic malt loaf has grown into one of Britain’s most loved food brands.
