Helping inspire future entrepreneurs
Who they are: Stepping into Business (SIB) is a marvellous social enterprise that has created an effective and fun education programme teaching primary and secondary school kids about business, enterprise and entrepreneurial skills. The children get to create their own product, pitch it to "friendly" business dragons to see if they can win funding, then they spend time making the product and then sell their goodies at a school market day.
The whole experience is exciting, it helps to bring children out of their comfort zone and sees them develop skills that they might not have known they had. SIB provides a peep into the world of business to find out what jobs are out there.
They're always looking for businesses who want to work with schools to inspire the next generation of clever entrepreneurs. If you're interested get in touch.
What we do: Still a relatively new client to Scribble, SIB approached us about handling the PR for them and helping to secure publicity promoting their school programme, the directors behind the business and also the issues arising from the work they do in schools. Coverage so far has included blog posts on teaching and parenting sites, editorial in education press including interviews and opinion pieces in TES and Teach Primary.
The three directors are passionate about the children they work with, they are bring something into schools that isn't currently available and helping the next generation to believe that anything is possible. Which goes hand in hand with Scribble ethos. We love them!
