Sheffield International Documentary Festival
What the client wanted: Scribble handled all the communications for this international documentary film festival for over five years helping to build a strong and respected reputation and global brand.
What we did: Year after year journalists, bloggers and writers would flock to Sheffield from across the world to interview leading film makers and producers and directors. Scribble secured extensive coverage in the UK national newspapers including The Guardian, The Times, The Telegraph and the FT in the arts, film sections and also lead articles in the news section about topical documentaries.
Film and television magazines such a Broadcast, Screen International and Televisual became great friends with the Doc/Fest and Scribble and provided extensive coverage. BBC radio and TV were also big supporters of this annual film festival. Scribble was instrumental in securing several live broadcasts from the festival on programmes such as Woman's Hour and Any Questions.
Working with independent production company Bison Films, Scribble researched, scripted and then voiced two videos promoting the Sheffield Doc/Fest.
As well as the annual film festival, Scribble also promoted the Doc/Fest Tour which travelled across the UK to independent cinemas.
