Who they are: Imperial War Museum North (IWM North) is a fantastic museum in Trafford, Greater Manchester. IWM is one of five branches of the Imperial War Museums, which explores the impact of modern conflicts on people and society.

What we did: IWM commissioned Scribble to write marketing material that was short, concise and had a persuasive and inspiring tone to it in order to capture and explain what it's Improving Futures project was all about.

This life changing social learning programme which used the heritage assets of IWM North, Manchester Museum, Museum of Science and Industry and other partner venues helped volunteers move away from social and economic isolation. It provided personal development opportunities to those who need help reintegrating into society, giving them access to a bespoke training programme - accredited by Manchester College - and volunteer opportunities to work with some of the most prestigious heritage venues in the North West, including the Whitworth Art Gallery, Manchester City Galleries, People’s History Museum, Manchester Jewish Museum, Dunham Massey and Ordsall Hall. In turn these venues were able to cultivate a valuable volunteer base that will enhance the visitor experience and provide access and interpretation to the collections.
