Do you have a son? If so, Scribble wants to talk to you.

I'm writing my second non-fiction book called 'Mummy’s Boy', it's a lighthearted, but at times serious look at the unique relationship between a mum and her son; from the first moment they lock eyes, to the last breath.

I've got lots of questions and would love it if you'd help me find some answers. I've compiled a survey asking questions about your relationship with your son and your hopes for the future. Please be as honest and frank as you like. If you're happy for me to contact you after the survey closes then please email your contact details to helen@scribbleaway.com

To take part click here http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/5BXJHP6

	Thanks for contributing!

I’ve been working with my very-toned Pilates teacher Laura Pettener from PL Pilates writing a feature for February’s Living Edge magazine.

The article looks at how easy it is to get bitten by the Pilates bug, like many celebs have including Rear of the Year for 2011, Pippa Middleton.

Unlike many other disciplines, Pilates easily fits into your everyday life, you don’t need a certain level of fitness to get started or enjoy it and the rewards from it can improve every area of your life.

Forget buying any swanky, expensive equipment just a towel or mat and two water bottles for hand weights and you can easily practise at home what you've learnt in a class.

I’m definitely no Madonna or Gwyneth Paltrow but I love it, give it ago.

Look out for Living Edge magazine available from early Feb across Manchester and Cheshire or online at www. http://livingedge.greatbritishlife.co.uk/

For Pilates classes and one2ones go to http://www.plpilates.co.uk

Where’s all the books about mums and sons?

"My mother had a great deal of trouble with me, but I think she enjoyed it." Mark Twain

I’ve been toying with the idea of writing another book since Bridal Moments went to print. Three years on and I’m still scribbling down comments and ideas on what people say about raising boys. From the good to the bad to the down right ugly, everyone has got something to say about how to turn a little boy into a grown man; whether they have had first hand experience or not.

I’ve scoured the bookshelves both on and off line and there doesn’t seem to be anything out there that talks about what it’s actually like to bring up a little boy and how your relationship with this little chap changes and evolves over the years, solely from the standpoint of a mum.

The world focuses on the mother/daughter relationship or the father/relationship – so I’ve decided to give the mother/son relationship some air time.

I’m looking to speak to mums of all ages with sons of all ages from all walks of life from all over the world.

I want funny stories, sad stories, embarrassing stories – all about living everyday life as a mum and a son.

Got something to share then drop me an email helen@scribbleaway.com

First EVER book signing Bridal Moments

Wow-wee just got back from my first ever book launch and book signing for Bridal Moments. Held it at the Manchester Central Library it was amazing. I was nervous as hell to begin with but after sitting down at the front of the room and looking at all the eager faces staring back at me, I realised I wasn't there for a maths exam. People were genuinely interested. It was more of an informal chat than a grilling. I read a bit from the book and people laughed in the right places (thank god) and then answered a couple of questions. It went rather well - and was made a lot easier with the help of Libby Tempest from the library - who was fab and has great hair. My sister attempted to film the whole thing but just managed to take some great photos of her shoes!

Other highlights of the day was being interviewed by Radio Manchester and getting a crafty kiss from the lovely Leon from Butlers in the Buff. Off to drink some fizz.
